Dear Sports Enthusiasts,

It is with immense pride that I announce the 7th State-Level Inter-Collegiate/Inter-University Vishwanath Sports Meet 2025, organized by MIT-ADT University, Pune. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s timeless words, “Our country needs a few strong men with muscles of iron and nerves of steel,” I have always believed in the transformative power of sports to shape individuals and build a stronger nation.

My father, Rashtradharmapujak Shri Dadaorao Karad, instilled in me a deep reverence for sports and service to our country. To honor his legacy, we have been organizing state-level wrestling competitions at his birthplace, Rameshwar, since 2007. Our annual Varkari Mahavir Kusti during Ashadi Ekadashi in Wakhari, Pandharpur, exemplifies our commitment to preserving traditional sports while fostering a sense of community and devotion. Sports have been central to MIT Group of Institution’s ethos since 1998, when we inaugurated the red clay mud wrestling akhada at MIT College of Engineering, with blessings from Hindkesari Shri Ganpatrao Andalkar and Yog-Guru Shri Shelar Mama.

I remain committed to promoting physical fitness and yoga at this age, inspiring young minds to embrace sports and true sportsmanship. The Vishwanath Sports Meet 2025 builds on this vision, emphasizing health awareness and providing a stage for athletes to excel. I invite you to join us in celebrating the spirit of sports, unity, and a healthier future. It is a fact that sports are second to oxygen in maintaining good health leading to a happy life for every human being. The role of sports has an important place among other extra-curricular activities In this regard, the academic institutions act as a nucleus whose impact on the youngsters matters a lot in society. These institutions are responsible for highlighting the importance of sports in the community.

Sports bring discipline in life sports activate all the cells and keep the body active, fit and slim, Sports improve thinking ability and reduce the stress of the mind. Those people not so much interested in sports are less active and have chances of getting diseases in the early stage of life and show lethargy in work.

Different people have different interests in sports, but the action is the same in all sports, Sports are becoming big channels for every one of us, and making efforts to achieve its goal can lead our nation to the next level, Let’s join Vishwanath Sport Meet 2024 and become part of National Wealth.
